- Paint the front door. Consider a fresh color this spring. If you’re willing to do the work yourself, the only investment is a can of paint. A fresh coat of paint will bring a smile to your house when you pull in the driveway.
- Change out your porch light for a fresh one. This in combo with a freshly painted front door, and maybe a new doormat, will instantly refresh the front porch. Other quick fixes: swap out your doorbell, add a kickplate to your front door, add a few new planters on the front porch, change out your address numbers.
- Change up your cabinet hardware on your kitchen cabinets. If you’re on a tight budget, grab a can of spray paint and change the color of your hardware in an afternoon and for under $20.
- Swap out your shower curtain for a fresh one. Consider swapping out cabinet hardware in your bathroom too, or other minor updates such as new plumbing fixtures, or a new light fixture.
- Rearrange your furniture. Roll up your area rugs for the summer. You’ll put a fresh spin on what you have, and maybe like it so much you’ll keep it that way through the next winter.
